แอป ไม่ได้ เก็บชื่อ อีเมล เบอร์โทร ตำแหน่งที่ตั้ง (GPS) รายชื่อผู้ติดต่อ รหัสประจำเครื่อง หรือข้อมูลระบุตัวตนใด ๆ ของคุณ และไม่มีการสร้างบัญชีผู้ใช้
หากคุณกรอก ชื่อผู้ยืม ข้อความนั้นเป็นข้อความอิสระที่คุณพิมพ์เอง ถูกเก็บในเครื่องคุณเช่นเดียวกับข้อมูลอื่น และไม่ถูกส่งไปที่ใด
2. แอปเก็บข้อมูลไว้ที่ไหน
ข้อมูลทั้งหมดถูกเก็บในฐานข้อมูลและโฟลเดอร์ส่วนตัวของแอปบนอุปกรณ์ของคุณ ซึ่งระบบ Android ป้องกันไม่ให้แอปอื่นเข้าถึงได้ เราไม่มีเซิร์ฟเวอร์ที่รับข้อมูลจากแอปนี้ และไม่มีสำเนาข้อมูลของคุณอยู่ที่เรา
3. สิทธิ์ที่แอปขอ และเหตุผล
- กล้อง — ใช้ถ่ายรูปสิ่งของ และสแกน QR บนกล่อง รูปที่ถ่ายถูกบันทึกลงพื้นที่ส่วนตัวของแอปทันที ไม่ถูกอัปโหลดที่ใด แอปทำงานได้แม้ไม่ให้สิทธิ์นี้ (แค่จะถ่ายรูปหรือสแกนไม่ได้)
- การแจ้งเตือน — ใช้เตือนเมื่อของใกล้หมดอายุ ประกันใกล้หมด หรือของที่ให้ยืมใกล้ถึงกำหนดคืน การแจ้งเตือนถูกสร้างขึ้นในเครื่องคุณทั้งหมด ไม่ได้ส่งมาจากเซิร์ฟเวอร์ และคุณปฏิเสธสิทธิ์นี้ได้โดยแอปยังใช้งานได้ตามปกติ
นอกจากนี้ในไฟล์ระบุตัวตนของแอปจะปรากฏสิทธิ์ทางเทคนิคบางอย่าง เช่น

4. การใช้อินเทอร์เน็ตและ AI ในเครื่อง
PlaceBox ไม่ส่งข้อมูล รูปภาพ หรือสถิติการใช้งานใด ๆ ออกจากเครื่องคุณ แอปใช้งานได้ครบทุกฟีเจอร์ในโหมดเครื่องบิน
ฟีเจอร์ช่วยเดาชื่อสิ่งของจากรูปถ่ายใช้โมเดล ML Kit Image Labeling แบบติดตั้งมาในตัวแอป ซึ่งประมวลผลบนอุปกรณ์ของคุณทั้งหมด รูปภาพของคุณไม่ถูกส่งไปยัง Google หรือบุคคลที่สามใด ๆ และไม่มีการดาวน์โหลดโมเดลเพิ่มเติมจากอินเทอร์เน็ต
5. การสำรองข้อมูลของ Android
PlaceBox เปิดใช้ระบบสำรองข้อมูลอัตโนมัติมาตรฐานของ Android (Android Auto Backup) ซึ่งหมายความว่าระบบปฏิบัติการอาจคัดลอกข้อมูลแอป (รวมถึงฐานข้อมูลและรูปภาพ) ไปเก็บไว้ใน บัญชี Google Drive ของตัวคุณเอง เพื่อให้กู้คืนได้เมื่อเปลี่ยนเครื่อง
- ข้อมูลนี้ถูกเก็บในพื้นที่ Drive ของคุณ ไม่ใช่ของเรา และเราเข้าถึงไม่ได้

6. ไฟล์ที่คุณส่งออกเอง
แอปสร้างไฟล์ให้คุณได้ เช่น ไฟล์สำรองข้อมูล ป้าย QR แบบ PDF และรายงานทรัพย์สินแบบ PDF ไฟล์เหล่านี้ถูกสร้างขึ้นในเครื่องคุณ และจะถูกส่งไปที่ใดก็ต่อเมื่อ คุณเป็นผู้เลือกแชร์ด้วยตัวเอง (เช่น ส่งเข้าแชต อีเมล หรือบันทึกลงคลาวด์) เมื่อคุณส่งไฟล์ออกไปแล้ว ข้อมูลในไฟล์นั้นจะอยู่ภายใต้นโยบายของบริการปลายทางที่คุณเลือก เราไม่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องและไม่ได้รับสำเนาใด ๆ
7. การติดตาม โฆษณา และการวิเคราะห์
PlaceBox ไม่มี สิ่งเหล่านี้ทั้งหมด:
- ไม่มีโฆษณาและไม่มี SDK โฆษณา
- ไม่มีเครื่องมือวิเคราะห์การใช้งาน (analytics)
- ไม่มีระบบรายงานข้อขัดข้องอัตโนมัติ (crash reporting)
- ไม่มีตัวติดตามจากบุคคลที่สาม และไม่มีการสร้างโปรไฟล์ผู้ใช้
- ไม่มีการขายหรือแบ่งปันข้อมูลของคุณกับใคร เพราะเราไม่มีข้อมูลของคุณตั้งแต่แรก
8. การเก็บรักษาและการลบข้อมูล
ข้อมูลของคุณอยู่ในเครื่องคุณตราบเท่าที่แอปยังถูกติดตั้งอยู่ คุณลบข้อมูลได้ตลอดเวลาโดย
- ลบสิ่งของหรือกล่องแต่ละรายการภายในแอป
- ล้างข้อมูลแอปที่ การตั้งค่า → แอป → PlaceBox → พื้นที่จัดเก็บ → ล้างข้อมูล
- ถอนการติดตั้งแอป ซึ่งจะลบฐานข้อมูลและรูปภาพทั้งหมดออกจากเครื่อง
เนื่องจากเราไม่ได้เก็บสำเนาข้อมูลของคุณไว้ที่ใด จึงไม่มีขั้นตอนที่ต้องร้องขอให้เราลบข้อมูลให้ หากคุณเคยเปิดการสำรองข้อมูลของ Android ไว้ ให้ลบข้อมูลสำรองผ่านการตั้งค่า Google Drive ของคุณเพิ่มเติม
9. การชำระเงิน

10. เด็กและเยาวชน

Privacy Policy
PlaceBox has no user accounts, no servers of ours, and no code that transmits your data off your device. Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on your phone. As the developer, we cannot access your data at all. The only way your data may leave the device is Android's own backup to your Google Drive, which you can turn off (see section 5).
1. What the app stores
PlaceBox stores only what you enter or capture yourself:
- Item names, notes, categories, and quantities
- Photos you take or pick for your items
- Your storage structure (which item sits in which box or shelf)
- Position, size, and colour you assign to items in the 3D room view
- Item value, expiry date, and warranty end date, if you enter them
- Check-out status, including a borrower name and due-back date, if you enter them
- Display preferences such as room size in the 3D view
The app does not collect your name, email, phone number, GPS location, contacts, advertising ID, or any device identifier, and it never creates a user account.
A borrower name, if you enter one, is free text you typed. It is stored locally like everything else and is never transmitted anywhere.
2. Where data is stored
All data lives in the app's private database and folders on your device, which Android isolates from other apps. We operate no server that receives data from this app, and we hold no copy of your data.
3. Permissions and why they are needed
- Camera — to photograph items and scan QR codes on your boxes. Captured photos are written straight to the app's private storage and are never uploaded. The app works without this permission; you simply cannot take photos or scan.
- Notifications — to remind you about items nearing expiry, warranties about to lapse, and borrowed items approaching their due date. All notifications are generated locally on your device; none are pushed from a server. You may decline this permission and keep using the app normally.
The app manifest also lists technical permissions such as INTERNET,
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, WAKE_LOCK, FOREGROUND_SERVICE,
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, and VIBRATE. These are declared by standard
libraries the app bundles (Android's background task scheduler, the 3D rendering library, and
the image loading library), not by PlaceBox's own code. PlaceBox's code makes
no network requests of any kind.
4. Internet use and on-device AI
PlaceBox transmits no data, photos, or usage statistics off your device. Every feature works in airplane mode.
The feature that suggests an item name from a photo uses a bundled, on-device ML Kit Image Labeling model that runs entirely on your phone. Your photos are never sent to Google or any third party, and no additional model is downloaded from the internet.
5. Android backup
PlaceBox has Android Auto Backup enabled. This means the operating system may copy app data (including the database and photos) to your own Google Drive account so it can be restored when you change devices.
- This backup lives in your Drive storage, not ours, and we cannot access it.
- On Android 9 and above, backups are end-to-end encrypted with your device screen lock.
- You can disable it under Settings → Google → Backup, or exclude this app in your device's backup settings.
6. Files you export yourself
The app can generate files for you: data backups, QR label PDFs, and asset report PDFs. These are created on your device and go somewhere else only when you choose to share them (to a chat app, email, or cloud storage). Once you send a file, its contents fall under the policy of whichever service you chose. We are not involved and receive no copy.
7. Tracking, ads, and analytics
PlaceBox contains none of the following:
- No advertising and no ad SDKs
- No usage analytics
- No automated crash reporting
- No third-party trackers and no user profiling
- No selling or sharing of your data with anyone, because we never hold it
8. Data retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete it at any time by:
- Deleting individual items or boxes inside the app
- Clearing app data under Settings → Apps → PlaceBox → Storage → Clear data
- Uninstalling the app, which removes the database and all photos from the device
Because we keep no copy of your data anywhere, there is no deletion request to submit to us. If you previously enabled Android backup, also delete the backup through your Google Drive settings.
9. Payments
PlaceBox's core features are free; some additional features unlock with a one-time purchase. All payments are processed by Google Play. We do not receive, see, or store your card or payment details. See Google's privacy policy for how payments are processed.
10. Children
PlaceBox is a general-purpose home organisation app. It is not directed at children and it collects no personal information from users of any age.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date shown above. Significant changes will also be announced inside the app.
